Additional shop search criteria issues

Hi,

I’ve created all my products and allocated categories (ie. Mugs & Cups) but I also added ‘colour’ to the categories thinking I would be able to have a left column on my shop (like your demo) which has sections to see ‘categories/brands’, ‘colours’ and ‘sizes’.

I’ve obviously added my colours information in the wrong place on the variable products listings as they’re appearing in my normal categories (ie. Mugs & Cups).

Where should I have put my colours, sizing etc information and what Neighborhood widget, plugin or page builder element should I then use to allow these to be displayed in their own right in the side column?
