Adding Shortcode Button to Revolutionary Slider

Hi,

I’d like to add one of the shortcode buttons as a layer on revolutionary slider, but RS is not recognizing the shortcode.

How can I add it? When I uploaded the demo content to just check, the styles were broken on all the pre-made header slides.

You need to add a link and add the button classes, this will generate the button, for e.g:

<a class="sf-button standard orange standard ml0" href="http://" target="_self"><span class="text">ORANGE BUTTON</span></a>

It will not be styled in the backend, but it will at the front end.

Using the code about, when I look from the front end the button area seems to be cut off.

I shouldn’t have to add a special CSS style, should I?

Please update to the latest version of the slider, if this does not fix the issue let me know. You can download the latest version here:

If i wanted to use HTML to create an icon stroke and/or icon reveal – how would i do that?

The reason I ask is because I want to add event tracking to the button and I can’t seem to get it to work using the shortcodes.

You can add any fontawesome icon with the html

<i class="fa-link"></i>

replace fa-link with the icon of your choice.

I’m Having the same issue as above.. when i add a button either with a shortcode or HTML I’m getting a max-width:100px limitation. I’ve updated Revolution Slider and the theme. Thanks for any help…

@johnwasneverhere -please use this custom css at Admin -> Theme Options -> Custom CSS => Here put this code and update options .
a.sf-button{max-width:220px !important}

Hopefully it should work 100% .
