    Hello,
I would like to add sort of a sidebar on my homepage so that I can display a newsletter signup form and facebook like box. How can I do that? I see that you can adjust the width of the boxes you put on a page, but most of these plugins work in the widgets area and not directly on the pages.
    Thank you!

    Hi,

Edit the page that you have set as your home page and choose the sidebar it should display (you need to scroll down for that option).

Then, you can add whatever widgets you need in that sidebar, under Appearance/Widgets.

Yeah thanks I saw that and I tried it, but it looks horrible since I have a slider on that page and it showed a lined that went straight through the slider.

If it’s a Revolution Slider, make sure you’re not setting fixed dimensions for it (try responsive).
