  Since the 404 page is not easily edited, is there a way to redirect that would normally end up on the 404 page to a different URL? I tried redirecting the 404 page itself, but the the redirect only works if the mysite/404/ URL is used.

  Found a great little free plugin called “404 to Start” that will redirect the 404 page to any page you choose. You can build your own custom 404 page in the Page Builder and redirect to it.
