    Hello Support!

I’ve imported the Demo Two Content and noticed that there are a number of custom fields (example: sf_team_member_phone_number) that seem to display phone number, email address, and social media links at the bottom of each member profile. I also noticed that they seem to be listed multiple times.

I’ve tried adding those same custom fields to the new team members that I am creating, but they don’t seem to disappear after I update the page.

I also tried editing an existing team member, but the URL is of the prior person and not the name of my team member.

Can you point me in the right direction? Do I need to install a custom fields plugin?

    Thank you!

    Hi

You can hide custom fields in the screen options as you will not need to use them, they are automatically generated with the information you add in the team meta options

For the slug of the team member you can edit it, underneath the title box

    Kyle –

I am still having trouble. How do I set the phone number, email, social media, and other values for a newly added team member? I’ve tried adding values like sf_team_member_email and sf_team_member_phone_number. I start by pressing “Add Custom Field,” then entering a value like sf_team_member_email and it’s value and then “Add Custom Field” again. Then I press “Update” to save the page. When I scroll down, the values are gone and if I view the page, no info appears.

Since I am not able to add a new team member, I’ve also tried editing a person that was part of the demo content. I’ve edited URLs before on other themes, but don’t have an edit link. See attached photo. Additionally, when I try and edit fields like sf_team_member_phone_number on the demo team members, the values don’t update –> Seems to be a similar problem to what I am experiencing when trying to define a phone number and other values for a new person entirely from scratch.

Please let me know how I can create a new team member with a URL that includes the person’s name and functions the same way as what I see in the demo team members. I really like that layout and would like to use it.

    Thank you.

You shouldn’t be using custom fields, you can use the team member meta to add this information (see screenshots). If this is not visible to you, check your screen options

    Kyle –

I don’t see those screens at all. Where are they? What do you mean by check my screen options?

The earlier posted screenshot “Edit-Team-Member-‹-Fire-Lawyer-—-WordPress-3.png” shows what I am seeing.

    Thank you.

    Kyle –

I finally saw the part that you were indicating.

Thank you for helping me figure this out.
