We have recently updated this theme and have since encountered the following problems:
– The top bar menu no longer has drop down functionality. I have created a new menu from scratch but the functionality does not work e.g hovering over a title does not drop down the sub categories to select.
– Many images throughout the website are no longer linked, on both pages and the revolution slider. After updating them in the quick builder they do not appear on the page, although hyper links still work in the designated area for the image.
– We had nullified the portfolio grid links in our footer (Partners) with Custom CSS as they only link to portfolio pages with massive images. The links are now active again and need removing. Is it also possible to remove the orange overlay aswell? We would like them to just be images.
– Occasionally the interactive icon boxes on our homepage display text either backwards or upside down.
– Occasionally some images (Such as the Support Wheel on our support page) appear quite pixelated. This may be down to the image size, but it had not occured pre-update.
We love the theme but the last update has caused massive problems! Please help!
August 1, 2014 at 2:29 pm #96863Hi,
Where you made those custom css? In the css custom options of the theme.
That’s strange that the update caused all those situations.
Didn’t you install any plugin or another update? All the info you can give us will help us out to identify the issues.

August 4, 2014 at 2:55 pm #97525Hi Rui,
Thanks for getting back to me.
I have now fixed the image issue to some extent. I have had to delete the image element within the SwiftPage builder, readd it, then upload a new image. If I use existing images or elements the images will not appear on the pages. It has not happened since so I’m happy to wait and see if the problem reoccurs.
The porfolio grid problem grid problem can be fixed by one of our team – so there is nothing to worry about there, although the CSS we previously had set up to do this has gone after the update making the problem reoccur.
I have not personally encountered the problem with the animated icon boxes on the home page appearing upside down or back to front so unfortunately I cannot elaborate until it reoccurs.
My biggest concern at the moment is the menu functionality. I have made numerous new menus and updated old ones but no matter what I try they will not apply. After creating a menu and applying it, no menus will drop down when you hover over the relevant titles on the home page. This is the only means of navigating to some pages at the moment so is crucial – can you help?
Thank you,
– Tom
August 4, 2014 at 6:15 pm #97622Hi,
I’m seeing an jQuery error in the Console. Check the attached screenshot.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/c47wxs9egqhjsem/jquery_error.pngMaybe some plugin conflict that is interrupting the loading of some of the theme scripts.
Can you provide us admin access so we can take a look at the installed plugins. Please send it through private reply.

We haven’t got it active as such – and there are no plugins that relate to Google Page speed. Can you elaborate please?

It looks like mod_pagespeed is installed on the host. If you don’t have access to disable it for your site, you can contact to your hosting provider or check after add ?ModPagespeed=off to the end of your URL in the browser like this http://www.848.co/?ModPagespeed=off.Thanks ๐
With Best Regards
