  Hi,

  I want to edit my child theme, but via Dashboard>Appearance> I see no theme editor menu item.

  The common url <mywebsite>/wp-admin/theme-editor.php online responds: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
  Strange, for I am Admin.

  I could use an external editor, but prefer WP for minor tweaks.

  Hi

  This is not a theme issue, you need to check your permissions on your server, I’m not sure which file it would be, but likely something in wp-admin

  More specific:

  EDIT wp-config.php file…which removes the “editor” item from Appearance menu.
  /** Hardening WordPress **/
  define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, true); -> define(‘DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT’, false);
