  Hi there,

  I just want something easy : using fancybox image gallery available in many theme
  I just need this kind of easy effect and design (1st raw gallery on this page) http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/demo/

  When I used the WP gallery, I’ve got an ugly full dark page effect without next and previous arrows… but on your pinpoint directories all fancybox images called fancybox_sprite.png are available…

  so How to set up any fancybox image gallery with these “fancybox sprite” icons ????

  Can you switch to Classic view and let me know how your WP gallery shortcode looks like? Does it have link=”file” in it?

  thank for your reply, yep the shortcode is :

  For your information The WP gallery is working : (see my attached file)
  1/ I can see my image of course
  2/ I’ve got a black overlay with opacity

  But it’s not a great Fancybox gallery with “fancybox-wrap” and “next-previous arrows”
  like this http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/demo/

  And because all fancybox icones are included into pinpoint.zip I imagine that fancybox gallery shortcode is existing instead of WP gallery shortcode… Could you help me with that shortcode ?

  Hi Yann,

  Sorry for the confusion, the theme is not using Fancybox when linking something to an image file. It’s using a different lightbox, called View.

  Why do you have fancybox_sprite.png images into the pinpoint directories when we installed it ?

  Here is the directory pinpoint/images/fancybox_sprite.png please find in attachment the file

  You just need to have more images on that page you’re viewing, it automatically does that.

  Indeed, sorry about that.

  Checked their docs and it also needs a rel=”” attribute on the gallery links in order to work properly. Since WordPress doesn’t do that by default, add the following code to the end of functions.php (edit it in Appearance/Editor) :

  add_filter('wp_get_attachment_link', 'yann_add_gallery_id_rel');
  function yann_add_gallery_id_rel($link) {
  	global $post;
  	return str_replace('<a href', '<a rel="gallery-'. $post->ID .'" href', $link);}

  Save and it should now work.

  I’m struggling with this too, could you please help?

  With the pagebuilder I have inserted some image blocks. Each image opens in a lightbox just fine, however I would like to have multiple images under 1 thumbnail just as View is using. Then the next image block opens up in a lightbox and also shows multiple images etc etc

  Due to gallery settings problems on my side with Pinpoint 1.3, I’ve finally use Jetpack/Carousel and Jetpack/Tiled Galleries… it’s nice and works easily

  The plugin scans for all images on the page with that “rel” attribute I mentioned, and turns that gallery functionality on, if more than one image is found. You cannot have just one image and have that gallery in the plugin.

  The code I provided works for the default WordPress gallery.

  Finally, note that the latest version of Pinpoint is 1.5.5
