    Hi, just a quick question you might be able to answer. Im setting up a standard blog page (timeline) and I would like to display the year only. I’ve found the php line but a little bit puzzled how to change it.

    $post_item .= '<span class="standard-post-date" itemprop="datePublished">'.$post_date.'</span>';

    I did a search but it keeps coming back with errors.

    Many thanks!

    Hi,
    Please go to Admin -> Settings -> General -> Date Format -> Custom and put only Y to display year only.
    Thanks

    Hi, sorry to bring up the question again.

    I have set the date format through WordPress setting and it works fine. However I actually only need it for a particular set of timeline posts. Other masonry posts would need the full date. Would it be possible to change the date only for the timeline posts?

    Many thanks!

    Hi

    Unfortunately not sorry, the date is global throughout the WordPress site
