    Hello,

    On the page http://slanknd129.129.axc.nl/slank-en-gezond-plan/ I have placed a custom menu in the left sidebar. With some custom CSS I managed to hide the submenu items and only make them visible when the item is active. I added this piece of code:

    .widget_nav_menu li.menu-item ul.sub-menu {
        display: none;
    }
    .widget_nav_menu li.current-menu-item ul.sub-menu ,
    .widget_nav_menu li.current-menu-ancestor ul.sub-menu {
        display: inherit;
    }

    You can see what happens when clicking “Zelf aan de slag”.

    On Dekstop and Mobile it all works fine but on iPad I try clicking on the items that have children but simply won’t open the page.

    Any idea what’s happening?

    Best,
    Kirsten

    And a second problem with appears. When on dekstop clicked on one of the menu items that has children like:
    http://slanknd129.129.axc.nl/slank-en-gezond-plan/zelf-aan-de-slag/
    the sticky sidebar acts weird. It appears over the footer or over de headingtitle. See screenshot.

    Is their a way that I can still hide the children without having the issue with the iPad and the sticky sidebr overlap?

    Best,
    Kirsten

    Hi

    I recommend not having the sticky sidebar if you are going to be hiding child items, as the scroll position will not be worked out correctly, hence why it’s overlapping with the footer

    Hi Kyle,

    Ok thank you I will turn of sticky sidebars.
    But another problem comes along. It seems like on the iPad I cannot open the sidebar menu items that have children. It just won’t load. Any ideas?

    Ok,

    Note: I have set the menu in responsive css to unfold for now on iPad becasuse the site is allready live. You can find it at http://slankmetlinda.nl. But if there is a solution to fix it I would love to know.

    Hi Kirsten,

    Apologies for the delay in reply – will follow up why that happened.

    I’ve checked here, and removed your responsive styling and it seemed to work absolutely fine for me. Can you try enabling it again? I’d need to see it live with you able to replicate it to be able to debug properly.

    I turned the hiding of children on for tablet size. You can check it out on iPad now.

    Wow no it becomes really weird. I checked your screenshot and it indeed works fine on iPad in portrait mode. When I change to landscape I cannot click “zelf aan de slag” and “de verschillende fases”. That’s weird right :-S

    Think I’ve found the cause for this, and a fix. Please replace /js/functions.js with the code in the file attached (unzip first)

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Ed,

    I replaced the file, but unfortunately the problem isn’t solved.
