    Hi,

I’ve separated a section into two 1/2 columns. Now I’d like add two 1/2 columns into each of these but it doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions?

This is what I’m trying to achieve:

    [one_half] 1/2 + 1/2 [/one_half]

    [one_half_last] 1/2 + 1/2 [/one_half_last]

    Cheers.

    Hi

Unfortunately it’s not possible to put columns inside of columns, you would just have to use 1/4 columns. Or if it’s only going to be text that you are using, then add the 2 columns with the page builder, then in the text box add the column shortcodes

    Kyle,

Any considerations to include this functionality (columns within columns with page builder) in future updates? Kind of defeats the purpose of the visual Page Builder to have to design most page content with “text block” shortcodes. Would be great to be able to drag columns into other columns or rows.

    Cheers

    Hi

You can drag columns into rows, however you can’t add columns in columns, there would be too much nesting going on. Say you had a row, with 4 columns inside, and in each of them columns you tried adding another 4 columns, that’s 16 columns, then in each column you would have page builder assets, do you see what I mean?

You can drag columns into rows? Please see screenshot attached, No matter where I drag that column that is currently under the row it does not go into the Row. Is there a technique to do this?

I understand you can create Elements in that Row and then change the Column widths, this poses major problems when trying to make everything work for mobile as the columns created are displayed left to right, row by row.. throwing off intended design completely. (Unless using text blocks and shortcodes).

    Thanks

Apologies, we have not yet added this in, it will be added in a future update. We will also look into other nesting options

    Thanks for the feedback
