  Hey there, I mentioned this on someone else’s post but thought I had better make my own.

  Disqus is working perfectly, the only problem is the comment counter in the round button is not updating. Support mentioned that this was how Disqus works and it can take awhile but it has been over 24 hours now, and I have visited the site from multiple computers, locations, all caches cleared etc, and still the comment counter stays at 0.

  Could you give me any suggestions on how to get it updating properly? I noticed a setting within Discus to put the Javascript through the footer (in the event of errors such as counter not updating) I’m not sure if this is referring to the same counter, but I have tried with that setting both on and off with no luck.

  Hey,

  As I mentioned, this is done on Disqus’ side, all the theme does is call the plugin and use it instead of the default commenting system. The theme doesn’t have any code that manipulates this; I’ve seen it before, it can take a while for that to update and also, sometimes Disqus won’t update it at all – not sure how that works on their side.
