Hi,
I have a very simple question: is there any easy way I can hide the date from the top bar?
I used to use css.top-bar-date {display:none}
But since I updated the theme, that doesn’t work anymore…
Any ideas?April 22, 2014 at 5:52 am #68997Hi,
Please use given below code that will work 100% sure .
#top-bar-date {display:none}
Thanks
April 24, 2014 at 12:13 am #69512Hi, Mohammad!
Thank you a lot. Now I have a new issue, though…
It seems the Custom CSS textarea in Theme Options > General Options is not working…
The same goes for the fonts and font sizes in the Theme Options. They simply do not change anything!I was using the Simple Custom CSS Plugin in the past for these issues, but I found out it really slowed my site down and would prefer to do these customisations straight from the Theme Options. Any idea what’s going on?
By the way, my site is http://www.falacultura.com
April 24, 2014 at 6:37 am #69534Hi,
Are you using latest version of theme ? Please provide me wordpress admin login detail to get fast response .Thanks
April 24, 2014 at 12:23 pm #69680Hi, Mohammad!
I guess so, I downloaded it three days ago, customised and installed. I have been using this theme for two years now, but I downloaded it again and re-installed, so I guess it must be the latest version. One second, I will send you the admin login details!

It seems we have version 1.5 installed, and there is an update to 1.51… Yet, I can’t update the theme because WordPress is not able to remove the older version. Is there any way I can manually update from my CPanel ou FTP?April 28, 2014 at 9:05 am #70309Yes you can upload the new files using ftp or cPanel and overwrite the old files

April 28, 2014 at 11:54 am #70381Hi, Kyle!
I know I can manually upload the new files over the FTP, but as I stated earlier, I am unable to find the updated version, because when I download from Theme Forest I get the 1.5 version — and as soon as I install it, I get the “there is a new update available” message.
And also, is updating the theme the way of being able to configure the font sizes and custom CSS?
Kind Regards!April 28, 2014 at 12:54 pm #70418Hi
Ok then what is the problem with updating to 1.51 through the wordpress admin? There should be no error
You don’t have to update the theme to add custom css

April 28, 2014 at 12:57 pm #70421Hello, Kyle!
Have you read the previous messages of the thread?
What is happening is the following:• I am unable to add custom CSS using the theme options – the CSS simply is not updating;
• In the same way, the changes to the size of the fonts in the theme options does not work;
• Mohammad from support, who was helping me, told me maybe the problem was that I didn’t have the most updated version of the theme;
• When I tried to update from WordPress, I was unable to, because for some reason WordPress was not able to remove the older version.Therefore, currently I am trying to find out how to change the font sizes and add custom CSS, since it is not working from the Theme Options.

Your site is stuck in maintenance in the backend, please go the you cPanel or ftp and delete the maintenance.php file

April 28, 2014 at 1:10 pm #70432Whoops, sorry, no more maintenance mode.
April 28, 2014 at 1:34 pm #70450Looks like a permission error on your server. Please check with your hosting, they should be able to help you.

April 28, 2014 at 2:35 pm #70475Hi, Kyle!
Yes, indeed, the permission issue doesn’t let me update my theme.
Still, this doesn’t answer for the problem with the font and CSS customisation because, as you said yourself, I should be able to customise them from the Theme Options without updating my theme.So far, the only solution I can find is using a custom CSS plugin, such as Simple Custom CSS, to add custom CSS. But I would prefer to use the theme’s built-in option, because using an extra plugin would be bad for my loading time.
Any ideas of why the Theme Options are not working? -
