Mobile Navigation Menu is Broken. I have the menu assigned to “Mobile Menu” and it WAS working fine, but somehow it broke. Not sure what happened here or where to look to start trying to track this down.
The URL is http://www.mindframeeducation.com. This is affected globally across all devices.
I am running WP 3.8.1 and Dante 2.16
March 18, 2014 at 8:05 pm #58801I Realized After posting that my title says “Two problems …”
I fixed my second problem before posting but forgot to edit the title.
March 19, 2014 at 9:59 am #58891Can you check back if the menu is still assigned? Maybe it got cleared out.
March 20, 2014 at 7:57 pm #59552I’ve confirmed that there is still a menu assigned to “mobile navigation” and this problem still exists.
Its weird, though. It works very sporadically. Like, I might be able to open and close the menu once, but then it doesn’t work again.
Any ideas?
March 21, 2014 at 9:22 am #59617Hi,
Please upgrade to latest dante 2.5 out last night and let me know your feedback .
ThanksMarch 21, 2014 at 3:32 pm #59733Hi, I have upgraded and am still having trouble.
March 21, 2014 at 5:27 pm #59778To add some details, When I go to the home page (www.mindframeeducation.com), the menu will work to open and close the menu one single time. After I close the menu, it will not reopen. This is the case for several pages on the site. For the most part, it will only work one single time and then it breaks.
March 24, 2014 at 8:36 am #60126Hi
You’re issue is because you are opening and closing the mobile menu with the bar icon, to close the menu you need to use the cross inside the menu. (see screenshot)

March 24, 2014 at 4:26 pm #60387This is not the problem. For one, there IS no “X” icon when the menu does manage to open, but for the most part, the Menu never even opens in mobile.
This issue has now been open for six days, and every response from Staff has been unhelpful at best. For example:
Melanie: Can you check back if the menu is still assigned? Maybe it got cleared out.
Even though I already said in the original post: I have the menu assigned to “Mobile Menu” and it WAS working fine, but somehow it broke.
Mohammed: Please upgrade to latest dante 2.5 out last night and let me know your feedback .
There is nothing in the changelog to suggest that upgrading would fix my issue.
Kyle: You’re issue is because you are opening and closing the mobile menu with the bar icon, to close the menu you need to use the cross inside the menu. (see screenshot)
Completely disregards the MANY times that I have said the menu simply does not open on mobile.
WHO can I speak to in order to get this problem solved? If not, I will report this to envato and demand a refund. This support ticket was opened six days ago with my site being effectively unusable on tablet and mobile the entire time. In that time, 40% of traffic visiting my site has been from iOS or Android.
I have made no modifications to the core dante files. This issue needs to be corrected or a refund needs to be issued. Plain and simple.
March 24, 2014 at 4:40 pm #60393Hi @idealbrandon,
I’ve assigned this topic to myself.
Upon testing your site, it seems that it’s something to do with the minification you have running either in a plugin, or on your hosting. This is causing the mobile menu button to be completely unfunctional. As you can see on our live demo – this works 100%, and your issue isn’t with the theme.

March 24, 2014 at 4:46 pm #60398Hi @idealbrandon ,
I agree with Ed . Its due to wordpress minify plugin .
With Best Regards

Thank you for this. That was extremely helpful. I do have one followup question … I use the popular W3-Total Cache plugin to handle caching and minification. Does this mean that this plugin feature is simply incompatible with SwiftIdea themes?
March 28, 2014 at 11:11 am #62064It’s not incompatible, but minification plugins usually need quite a lot of configuration to work perfectly, and the issue usually comes from plugins. We’ve tested minification plugins out with the themes, and they all work fine, but it seems some plugins need manually removing from the minify list.
