    Theme Vers. 2.1
    WP Vers. 2.8.1
    URL: http://www.eventinc.de/blog

    Hi,

    we have a few problem after installing your wordpress theme:

    1) We are the theme only as a blog (Grid Style). After creating a Post, it is not possible to see a thumpnail picutre regarding this posts (the posts are shown only without pictures). It is only possible to use videos (video preview is shown) and sliders (with more than 2 pictures), but uploaded single pictures are not shown. Why? What can I do?

    2) After upgrading to Dante V. 2.1 the search form in header isn’t linked correctly (#).

    3) Using the revolutions slider at home, we have problems with the “slider layout” = “auto responsive”. We would like to use the auto resonsive functionality, but we also want to limit the wide of the shown picture to “1140px”. Using the function “auto responsive” and set the grid to width=1140 and heigh=350, the slider is enlarged to full width display.

    thx siem

    Hey,

    1 slider seems to work fine, has thumbnail image always not worked? Or did that stop working after the update?

    2 search seems to work fine 🙂

    3 instead of using the Image BG value in the slider, add your images as image layers if you don’t want them full width.

    Cheers!

    Hi Melanie,

    thanks for your answer. 2 & 3 are fine.

    But 1 is very important, we can’t go live without thumbnails. The single thumpnail image haven’t ever worked. Could you find a solution for that? thx

    Hi, can you make sure the permissions on the theme folder via FTP are 775 recursive on all files and subfolders?

    Let me know if that helped!

    Thanks for the answer. I did it – without any success. Maybe this can help:

    – If I create a new post WITHOUT defining an image, the placeholder thumbnail from the dante theme template is shown correctly (see: http://www.eventinc.de/blog). After setting my own thumbnail image, it isn’t working any more (it is also not working after delete the custom thumbnail again)

    this whole code snippet is missing if I compare the post with the placeholder thumbnail and with the post where the thumbnail is not working.

    FROM HERE
    <div class=”masonry-item-wrap”>

    <figure class="animated-overlay overlay-alt">
    <img width="1600" height="1600" alt="" src="http://www.eventinc.de/blog/wp-content/themes/dante/images/default-thumb.png" itemprop="image">
    <a class="link-to-post" href="http://www.eventinc.de/blog/test-post-5/"></a>
    <figcaption>
    <div class="thumb-info thumb-info-alt">
    <i class="ss-navigateright"></i>
    </div>
    </figcaption>
    </figure>

    <div class=”details-wrap clearfix”>
    -> From here the code regarding the post without working thumpnail is the same

    Yep I know I checked that already. Do only the images for that section not work or can you nowhere upload images? What’s the permission on the uploads folder in wp-content? Try changing those.

    Hi Mel, all permissions are correct – wp-content/uploads had 775 as well. There are also no errors in the apache log. Our Admins had a look on this problem and this shell be no permissions problem. This is a big problem for our company because we have to go live with our blog, it is very important for our business.

    It is possible to upload and use images everywhere (e.g. in posts), but they are NOT shown as a single thumbnail picture. Any more ideas? thx.

    Hi @Siem

    In my experience, this issue is caused by the GD Image Library not being installed/active on the server/hosting – please can you check this?

    Hi Ed,

    thanks. We found a solution for that problem. There are additional php packages needed which are not standard: php5-gd php5-imagick -> install them and it will work. thx for support.
