    Hi Ingmar,

Latest WordPress version is running jQuery 1.8.3, what WordPress version do you have?

If you have WordPress 3.5.1, maybe there’s another plugin that registers its own jQuery and is breaking the slider.

    Hi Ingmar,

Do you have any plugins active? Sounds like a poorly coded plugin is registering jQuery itself, instead of letting WordPress provide the up-to-date version.

If you need, I can take a look – reply here in private (Set private reply option) with your WP admin details and I’ll have a go at it myself 🙂 (we don’t provide support over email)

Fixed, please don’t edit theme files if you don’t have experience in doing so – there was a script tag in header.php that was breaking the site, for starters.

Second, WPML Edits is a poorly coded plugin, it replaces the jQuery from WordPress with an old version – I’ve disabled it for you to see that it’s working fine now. I suggest not using that plugin at all – such plugins are amateurish at best, they should never de-register WordPress’ jQuery.

I’ve also disabled the jQuery Updater plugin, as WordPress does not currently support the jQuery version it is registering.

    Dear Cosmin,

Thanks you very much!! so cool!, How do I know if a script is not professional? And may I use this moment to know how I can get the red line in the menu items? Like the preview version?

    Regards,

    Ingmar

    Hi Ingmar,

The page you’re viewing must be in the menu for that to work. Click one of the menu items and you’ll see it shows up. You can create a link to your home page and add it to the menu.

As for plugins, if you have no coding experience, it’s pretty hard to know. WordPress doesn’t warn about plugins like the one I’ve disabled. So in general, if things were working and they broke after a plugin install, then something is wrong with that plugin.
