  Hi,
  is there anyway within the theme to create a “register to download” or something of this kind?
  I’ve seen something like this on the sample theme, but it was from woocommerce, which in this case would be unnecessary since I’ll not be selling any product.

  You can create a page and make it only viewable to users logged in, you can use a plugin for this, there’s plenty available. One I’ve used before is: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-access-control/
