    Hello,

I recieve the following error message when trying to upload the dante zip file. “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”

I have had this issue once before and I had to have the theme developer correct the issue. I do not have a php.ini file under the wp admin folder. I have tried to add the file as discussed here http://wptheming.com/2009/07/upload_max_filesize/ and then modify the line “upload_max_filesize = 2M” to 8M or 16M. But I continue to get the same error message. I would appreciate any help.

I would like to learn the best way to fix this issue for future reference.

I have also included my login info:
    codybaird.com/wp-admin.php
    user: codycbaird
    pass: milkm3n!
    or SFTP: 23.253.67.86

    Thank you

    Hi,
Sounds like you need to increase the php memory on your server. Check the section on it at the bottom of the documentation – http://dante.swiftideas.net/documentation/#demo-content-import

    Thanks

    Tahir,

I followed your instructions and modified the php.ini file from 2M to 64. I also edited the wp-config.php and entered the following at the bottom of the file:
    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’64M’)

I am still getting the error. “The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.”

    Tahir,

I uploaded the theme and child theme via ftp successfully. Then I installed recommended plugins for the Dante theme. As soon as I activate the plugins – my screen goes blank or white. I have to rename the plugins folder or delete plugins to be able to see dashboard again.

    Hi,
This means that your hosting company is overwriting any values that you set. Please contact them and ask them to increase it if you havent yet.

    Thanks
    Tahir
