    Each page on my site loads in 16 separate style sheets (which I will try to minify later) but after this, it also then proceeds to load the main css file for the theme in to the source of every page.

    Can you please explain why this is occurring?

    I am using WP3.8 and theme version 1.5.3.

    My url is http://eseyo.wpengine.com and this is very much an in-progress website, however this CSS issue is quite a biggie for me and is preventing me from doing any further work.

    Hi, I don’t understand the problem – can you specify the problem in “proceeds to load the main css file for the theme in to the source of every page.”?

    What do you mean by it loads it to the source?

    Hello Melanie, I am also seeing this. If I look in the <head></head> section in the source code of a page it seems to load a ton of CSS in the page as opposed to in a separate style sheet. This increases the resources needed to download the page. I think what eseyo is saying that it would be more efficient to have this css loaded via an external style sheet so that it the styles only have to be loaded a single time for the site. Is there a way to change this behavior?

    Hi, that’s mostly the css from the theme options, which is a common practice to load in the head section.
    You can definitely try to change that, but I’m afraid we cannot help you much with that.
