In portfolio, is it possible to choose rev slider element and use only at 2/3 width etc? Find that I can’t put a text box next to it. Don’t want to use the slider at full width. What’s the best option?

Hi Melanie –

I know I can. But that isn’t really what I’m asking. When you change the width of the column that contains the slider to 2/3 is does adjust the slider size (as you can see on the page). However, the 1/3 block of text that comes after won’t come on the same horizontal line with is as it should.

I’ve noticed a similar problem anytime I try to make the text box have a alt background.

It means that the column width uses are not what I expected where any of the combos should make a single horizontal row: 1/2 + 1/2, 1/3 + 2/3, 1/4 +3/4 etc.

Please advise what the problem is or change the documentation to describe the limitations.

Hi there,

It’s possible, but not when you use the page builder for the content. You’d need to use the split media/description if you want text to the right.

you mean classic editor and columns shortcode? i see that this can work but means you lose the good functionality of swift. my goal here is to try and have a slider show of images that is about 2/3 page width as I feel the images could be quite overwhelming. Any ideas?

Also if we decide to use the Rev Slider with Swift, how can we make the slider truly full page width like the homepage?

Hmm ok. I think I’m starting to understand what you’re looking for, apologies that I didn’t understand fully the first time.

If you set the Revolution Slider to be auto-responsive, then you can use the revolution slider asset in the page builder and set it 2/3 width? Then you can have a text block next to it.

If you want it to be full width, then you’ll need to use the “Force Full Width” option in the slider settings.
