    Dear support team,

    after upgreading to WP 3.8 (i’m on flex form 1.5.3) I can’t see somehow my blog. The individual posts are still accessible with the direct links. But its not possible to “activate” the blog module for example with the swift builder. The result is always blank white space. (everything i see in chrome is the sitestat smilie)

    I’m happy to provide a link to my site (or WP access) for a closer look.

    Thanks for your help!
    Pete

    after digging a bit deeper I was able to identify the problem I think. it has to do with the blog categories. when I click to edit the blog module in the swift page builder and then select under “Blog category” โžž “All” then nothing shows up in the website. However if i select under “Blog category” โžž any other category then the blog entries show up as usual (however of course then only the ones from this category) …

    Hi!

    This does not happen on our installations, so if you need help with a specific problem on your website, I would always need to see your site live please.
    Could you tell me your website URL please? You can do so by typing it into a reply.
    If you want to send a private reply that only you and the admins can see it, please scroll down and enable the checkbox to do so.

    Also, we might need to check the backend of your website, so to speed things up, could you let me know your login details please?

    Thanks and cheers!

    Hi,

    I am facing a similar problem. On my page http://ostseeflug.com/flugbuch I chosed the category “flugbuch (rostock is a subcategory of it)”. In spite of, all other categories are showing up as well in the menu. How can i simply hide the appearance of the menu in the category-menu on my blog-side?

    Cheers

    Andreas

    Hi Andreas,

    You’d need to hide the blog aux on that page if you don’t want it to show, it won’t show the children categories.

    We had the same issues and found that the theme was loading an opacity of 0 for the blog sometimes. We used css to set the opacity to 10 for the blog item and had no more issues.

    .blog-items.masonry-items {
    opacity: 10;
    -moz-opacity: 10;
    filter: alpha(opacity=10);
    }

    @ms2014 – the blog items animate in once loaded, so that you don’t see unstyled content. So it’s likely a JS error on that page. If it all works for you though, great ๐Ÿ™‚
