    Hello!

I need a little help, please and thank you.

    1. I would like to completely remove the Love It Pro plugin but don’t want to edit the functions.php file to do this. Is there a line I can add in my Child Theme functions.php file to accomplish this? I don’t want to edit the parent theme to preserve changes when it updates. I have nothing selected in the plugin settings, yet it still shows on my posts.

    2. I would like to change the standard blog layout and remove the comments/love it, remove the category from the byline and change the arrow after Read More. I thought this would be done in Includes > Post Formats > standard.php but it doesn’t seem to work. I tried this through the Parent theme and the Child theme without the changes taking effect. What file would I edit to do this?

I have no caching plugins installed and have cleared my cache. I’ve also checked this on various browsers. I’m working locally so I don’t have an URL that I can provide.

    Thank you!

    Update:

    For #2, I found it under Includes > page-builder >composer > lib > shortcodes > blog.php. I’ll figure it out from there.

Would like some help with #1 though. Thank you!

    Hi,

this sure is possible, but I’m afraid it’s not built into the theme and would have to be modified especially for you. We’d love to help you with this customization but we are only able to provide support for basic theme issues and bug fixes. We do provide support for small customizations but unfortunately this request is beyond that. Please see our general policy and guidelines for more info. You could also hire a developer to help you with your customizations.

    Thank you for understanding!
    Cheers!

    Hi, Melanie,

I’m really not sure how to respond to your response – I was not asking you (or your team) to do this for me. I was simply asking for a point in the right direction. Why on earth would you include a plugin that cannot be deactivated? Why wasn’t it setup the same way as the other plugins so I could choose to use it or not? In any case, I will figure it out myself.

Hi there, you also found the way through functions.php to remove the plugin, let me know what exactly you’d need 🙂
