  Hi,

  I have the latest revslider.zip version and want to upgrade from 3.x in my Pinpoint theme. I’ve tried deactivating the current version and then uploading the new one but it fails due to the rev slider folder existing. If I just delete the current slider plugin and then install the new one will the existing slides I have set-up remain or will it delete those as well? I’ve read in another theme post that the uninstall/install won’t touch the db so they should be fine…

  Update – impatience got the better of me and I went ahead with the deactivate/delete of the existing version and then installed the new version of rev slider. Luckily beforehand I had gone through all of the sliders I had set-up and exported them to a text file (1 by 1) as the process deleted them! I have now imported them back into rev slider though and they’re working fine 😉
