Hi, I am having all sorts of problems with the revolution slider.
1.I can’t import the demo slider to use your suggested settings because I get this error:
Fatal error: Class ‘ZipArchive’ not found in /home/pilotjud/public_html/dev/wp-content/plugins/revslider/inc_php/revslider_slider.class.php on line 6062.Since I can’t follow the default settings you used, I am trying to build it from scratch. It is very confusing since the image settings are set in multiple places (template settings, slider settings and individual slide settings in both the template and slide itself). what I am trying to do is have the slider full width but a fixed height.
3. I think I almost have the full width/fixed height slider in place, but now there is a large gap below the navigation and above the slider. Could you please let me know which image settings need to be set and in what place?
4. Do you have a recommended image size for this type of slider?
The dev site is http://dev.pilotjudgement.com
Thank you in advance.
December 4, 2013 at 10:18 pm #35365Hi there,
1) Which version of revolution slider are you using? Sounds like it may not have installed correctly.
2) Have you added the slider like so? http://support.swiftideas.net/knowledgebase/how-do-i-add-a-full-width-slider/
3) You seem to have two margins that are creating this space within the slider. Here are the settings we use, are these what you have? – https://www.dropbox.com/s/8fnxzk6mua4bx7f/Screenshot%202013-12-04%2022.18.48.png
4) We use 1800 x 500px images.
Hope that helps!

December 4, 2013 at 10:42 pm #35385I have Version 4.0.5 of the revolution slider installed
#3 was the fix. I updated the “grid settings” values, and removed margins in the position panel and it looks much better. I hadn’t touched those and it was using what it had defaulted to without the sample import.
Thanks so much!

January 31, 2014 at 5:38 am #45935Hi-
I just purchased the theme and installed the demo.
I am having the same problem with the revolution slider. I installed all the plugins versions that come with Dante. But I can’t import the demo slider to use your settings because I get an error message. I tried several times. Since I can’t upload the home slider.zip, I tried to build it from scratch as you suggested: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8fnxzk6mua4bx7f/Screenshot%202013-12-04%2022.18.48.png
this time it gave me an Ajax error.I am planning to build my site following your demo.
Thanks in advance.February 4, 2014 at 10:48 am #46613Hi,
can you open a new thread for your issue? Your question, while it might be similar, is most likely different and requires a different approach. Also, posting to an existing (and probably old) thread will most likely lack currentness and furthermore lack the opportunity to post login details private in case we need them.
All the best
