Hi guys,
Just noticed yet another WooCommerce update: 3.0.5
My site is now live and functioning perfectly. The last thing I want to do is update and find the new update conflicts with the current Atelier build.
Is it ok to update or are you guys doing another Atelier patch to work with Woo 3.0.5? If so, should I wait?
Kind regards,
Daniel
May 3, 2017 at 7:51 am #323112Sorry to jump in here, I have the same question so didnt think it would be worth opening a new topic. Should we update?
thanks
May 3, 2017 at 12:00 pm #323155Hi,
Our latest update is compatible with the 3.0.4 so you can update the theme but it’s better to wait and don’t update Woocommerce to 3.0.5 because we don’t know where this loop will end.

May 12, 2017 at 3:59 pm #324490Sorry to bump this up but…
Can we update to the latest WooCommerce yet or should we still wait for a future Atelier update?
May 12, 2017 at 4:18 pm #324495We are now working for the 3.06. So maybe it’s better to wait for the next update.

May 17, 2017 at 9:17 am #324893Hi Rui,
I noticed you never did the Atelier update for WooCommerce3.0.6… There is now a new version that launched today: 3.0.7.
I am still running on WooCommerce 3.0.5 as I know it works perfectly with the current Atelier theme. My concern is the longer I run the older WooCommerce shopping cart, the more chance there is of viruses, etc. Is this true or am I being paranoid?
Are you working on an Atelier update for the latest WooCommerce? If so do you have an idea of when it will be ready?
Kind regards,
Daniel
May 17, 2017 at 1:32 pm #324953Hi Daniel,
Yes we are working in the updates but it takes time since the number of themes we have and we didn’t made nothing else except developing Woocommerce compatibility updates in the last months.
The viruses got nothing to do with the Woocommerce updates since there is no reference in the Woocommerce changelog to any situation that can cause that.
Will forward to our head developer so you can get an estimate about the updates.

May 17, 2017 at 4:49 pm #325009Hi Daniel,
The only change in both 3.0.6 and 3.0.7 was to change a grouped product add to cart file – it’s ridiculous trying to keep up with their updates, they are becoming more and more frequent.
We are prepping an update, but we want to make sure it won’t be outdated within a day.
Feel free to update – as it won’t cause any issues that weren’t already there.

May 17, 2017 at 5:23 pm #325016Thanks for getting back to me Ed…
I have just updated and now getting the following error message (see attached screen grab). Do you know if this will impact on the actual functionality of my website’s shopping process?
Kind regards,
Daniel

May 17, 2017 at 5:28 pm #325019Sorry to sound dumb…
When you say ‘”grouped” products within shortcodes’, what does that actually mena? Will there be an issue for customers purchasing multiple products?
Kind regards,
Daniel
May 17, 2017 at 5:32 pm #325021Sorry for not being clear Daniel. “Grouped” products are a type of product (simple, variable, download, grouped, etc) – where the product consists of a group of other products. It won’t affect multiple products being purchased.

May 17, 2017 at 5:34 pm #325022Thanks Ed, that makes sense now…
I only use single products so hopfully everything will keep on running smoothly. I’ll keep an eye out for the Atelier update.
Kind regards,
Daniel
May 18, 2017 at 6:40 pm #325222Hi Daniel,
Stay tuned. As quick as we release a new update – WooCommerce does the same!
Cheers
June 1, 2017 at 11:11 am #326674A quite important part of the allover compatibility with woocommerce 3.0.x (actual 3.0.7) to me seems the after update WC message “Actualización de datos de WooCommerce – Necesitamos actualizar la base de datos de tu tienda a la última versión.” = “We need to update/upgrade the database of your shop to the latest version”.
So my question is if this is supposed to run smooth without causing any issues or are you aware of clients that had problems here? Would you strongly recommend to fully backup the databse + wp-content folder before performing this action or would you consider this being harmless? Thanks.
