  I deleted by mistake the default shop page in the beginning. I had problems ever since when trying to make a blank page with the same name and permalink.

  1) Is the word “shop” a default somehow on the woo commerce or in the theme?

  2) When I make a page called “Shopping” with a permalink “/shopping” it’s ok. Everything is blank. But all changes I make doesn’t show up if I point in the woo-commerce settings the shop page to be the “Shopping” page. It displays all products by itself without the eg categories I put or the header title etc.

  3) If on the other hand name my shop page “Shop” with the permalink “/shop” it displays the products by itself without even setting it in the woo-commerce as the woo-commerce shop page, and all the changes that I make doesn’t show up ether when I update the site.

  4) How can I customise the page and the actual changes that I make affect the page without evolving woo-commerce default settings? For example I put only a products (mini) in the page builder but when I publish it it shows the products mini and below all products.

  Hi,

  1. If you delete it by accident you can get that back from the trash.
  2. No you can use any other name too. If there is already a page named named shop, the the permalinks are named like shop-2.
  3. Create a page, and named it like you want, and assign that to the Shop base page in Woocommerce -> Settings -> Pages.
  4. Can you show me the website, also pass me the WP Login details in a private reply. So I can check whats going on.

  Hi Laranz,
  I’m having the same issue as above – and I went through the steps you outlined above but still getting the same problem.

  None of the changes I make in the page settings get reflected on the actual webpage.
  I can’t get the page header to display or have sidebars to show up.

  Not sure what else I need to do!

  can you open a new thread for your issue? Your question, while it might be similar, is most likely different and requires a different approach. Also, posting to an existing (and probably old) thread will most likely lack currentness and furthermore lack the opportunity to post login details private in case we need them.
