  I know that there is a code to replicate the newsletter bar which can use mailchimp’s form action URL but I’m trying to use Contact Form 7 instead but the subscribe button is missing or not seen on the page

  Add the code below to your custom css option.

  .wpcf7-form-control-wrap {
      display: inline-block;
      float: left;
  }
  
  .wpcf7-form-control.wpcf7-text.wpcf7-email.wpcf7-validates-as-required.wpcf7-validates-as-email {
      width: 90%!important;
  }
