    Hi guys,

I’m using a google font (asap) in bold and reg on my site, but its not rendering on any browsers. Any ideas why not? I had this problem before, and thought it was fixed. I’ve uploaded the font inquestion using the redux framework as well.

Also, I’m about to rebuild this site, any advice on the structure I should be using for Columns in rows? you seem to have change a lot of the options to suit column layouts?

    Hi,

I found this error in the javascript console.

Can you check if the file Asap-bold.ttf exists in the directory wp-content/uploads/redux/custom-fonts/custom/Asap-Bold/

Also check those directory permissions, to see if there is a write permission(it’s necessary for the upload process)

    Hey Rui,

Yeah the directory does exist, although shouldn’t need to use redux if the google font is selectable from the dropdown in font options?

I am going to use the google fonts ccs embed and see if that works.

Any word on the column / row build situation?

The not found it’s because of the custom font, and not the google one.

The ideal structure will be always rows first and columns inside, then inside the columns you will drop the assets.
This will give you more control regarding the paddings/margins/etc.

    Hi Rui,

Still having problems – I’ve tried adding the google font to the header.php and calling the font in the first row on the homepage but still no change.

I’ve double checked the directory, and there is a redux file in uploads with the asap font inside.

    Permissions are good.

Not sure really what to do.

The Google font should not be added to the header.php. It’s already loaded via the theme options, the custom font upload is totally different, though does reside within the theme options also.

I can still see your server not loading the font asset:

Can you report to your hosting provider that image with the 404, please inform them the files exist but are not loading/blocked from loading.

Ok, taking that out of the header.php and phoning hosting provider now!

    Thank you guys.

    Hey guys,

I think i’ve fixed it by changing the permissions of the actual asap.ttf file in the directory. Can you also check for me? Not getting the 404 error anymore.
