Hi-
I’m having trouble getting the Max Mega Menu set up to offer some of the features in your demo site for Uplift (and Dante, although I know it’s a different theme). Hoping you can help.
1) I can’t ever seem to import Uplift’s demo content for the menu settings / Max Mega Menu settings. I’ve pulled in all the demo content and flushed it all back out several times and I can never see the menu setup for the demo content to use as an example. The main menu is totally blank in my local install that has pulled in the demo content. Any tips? Screenshots attached.
2) I’ve reviewed the instructions in the Documentation > offline_docs.html but the images for the Max Mega Menu are different from the current version.
3) I can’t for the life of me figure out how to achieve some of the stuff you do on the demo site, like :
– have a Max Mega Menu that extends wider than the Main Menu items. On your demo site, your Max Mega Menu dropdowns extend all the way under the main site logo. I can’t get that to happen.
– insert images
– insert sale items like you have on the Dante site
– get any styling for the sub menu items that don’t look awful
– get it to even remotely work on mobileAny help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
-Alex

Have you read over the Max Mega Menu docs: https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/installation/
a) To insert an image, you would use the HTML img markup:
<img src="/path-to-your-image.jpg" />
b) You can add a sale item widget to the menu using the WooCommerce widget or the SF shortcode. Gere is the WooCommerce widget:
January 6, 2017 at 3:34 pm #309149Thanks for this reply. I’ll check this out. Do you know how to get a Max Mega Menu dropdown to extend wider than the main menu items? You have this in the Uplift Demo and I can’t seem to figure out how to achieve this.
Also, do you know how to import the demo content for the Uplift theme that includes the menu items so I can look to reverse engineer your demo menu items?
Thanks!

January 9, 2017 at 12:13 pm #309267Hi Alex,
1) The fullwidth of the header menu is created by the 4 column layout.
2) The menu items should import without issue. Did you have the Max Mega Menu plugin installed whilst importing the demo content?
January 10, 2017 at 3:39 am #309383Thanks!
I’ve never been able to import any menu content, no matter how many times I run the importer or whether or not I re-set all of WordPress and install everything fresh. Pretty frustrating. I’ve always installed and activated all plugins before running the demo importer.
Screenshots attached.
Any tips on importing the menu items so I can try to figure out how you all set up the menu?
Thanks!

January 10, 2017 at 3:57 pm #309502Will import the demo content. Thanks.
I got some of my troubles worked out with some trial and error. The issue I was facing was that Header Layouts 4 and 5 constrict the div class=”float-menu” whereas Header Layout 3 has a much wider div class=”float-menu” and the ul class=”mega-sub-menu” is then constricted to the width of the div.float-menu.
So once I figured that out, I was good to go (more or less). It looks to me like your demo content is using the Header Layout 3 without the full width header option. And that explains the width of the Max Mega Menu dropdown menus.
I will import your demo content xml.
Thanks as always for your very quick and thorough help.
Best,
-Alex
January 10, 2017 at 4:31 pm #309521No matter what I try, I can’t import the menus for your demo content. It’s okay, though, I’ve spent so much time trying that I need to move on.
I’ve totally de-installed and re-installed the theme fresh ~ 6 times, made sure to install and activate all plugins first, made sure to do a basic setup of WooCommerce then run the demo content importer. Everything imports perfectly except the menus. I tried importing the full xml file you sent via Dropbox. Nothing – no menu content anywhere.
I’ll get it worked out. Thanks for trying.
Best,
-Alex
January 11, 2017 at 1:48 pm #309672Hi Alex,
Apologies that you have had issues importing the menus. We will need to look into this closer to see if it’s an importer issue or an environment issue (such as your server/hosting).
Thanks.
January 11, 2017 at 3:13 pm #309687Thanks for looking into it further.
I’m on a local install for the demo content. The local install is pretty straightforward and also hosts a local development version of the production website with no problems. I can try to find a place to push it so that you can log in and see, but that may not be worth the effort.
Regardless, thanks for continuing to look into the issue. I’m slowly figuring out the menu setup so it’s no so urgent on my end.
Thanks!

January 11, 2017 at 3:58 pm #309703We can only check it on your install, since it works fine on our development servers.
Check this software
https://local.getflywheel.com/
It’s free and very interesting, it also allows you to enable a remote link for a local site install.-Rui
