    Hello,

I have my first comment on a blog article and I notice the date order is not right. You can see “4 minutes ll y a” and it should be “Il y a 4 minutes”. Where can I change this?
Tx for your help and have a nice day!

    Hi,

You will need to change the order in the translation file. Try to activate the default WordPress theme to see if it looks the same.

If it looks the same it means that the text is inside the WordPress language files.

    Check this documentation
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language#Single-Site_Installations

When I activate another theme (twenty seventeen), the date appears properly, cf print screen.
I’ve found the translation in Dante fr_FR.mo and the translation is right but the words order is not good.

In english : 15 minutes ago
    In french : Il y a 15 minutes isntead of 15 minutes il y a

Where can I change this forever (I mean do I need a child theme?)
    Tx !!

Yes, you would move the language file into the child theme, creating a /languages/ folder within the child theme folder structure.

You can then change the language following these instructions: http://www.swiftideas.com/knowledgebase/translating-the-theme-using-poedit/

OK but my issue doesn’t come from the language files, it’s the order in a php file I guess. As u can see, “ago” is after the comment date in english but in french “Il y a” must be before the comment date…

    Hi Marine,

You should be able to switch this around in the language file. I presume you are using fr_FR.po if your site is in French?

If so, please add a dropbox link here with the file.

Please install and activate the supplied child theme, once complete you will need to add your FTP details. The PHP function that will need to be changed is sf_custom_comments() – I can assist you with this.

There are no FTP details. Please privately add them here.
