    Hi there,

After moving my website to another url, I got the following message.

    File Permission Issues
We were unable to modify required files. Please ensure that /home/bednestn/public_html/wp-content/uploads/ has the proper read-write permissions, or modify your wp-config.php file to contain your FTP login credentials as outlined here…

I checked all file permissions and they should be correct. Also added the credentials as stated, doesn’t change a thing. I see in your forum most of the time it’s an update issue. As you can see, everything is up to date. Also contacted my hosting provider, they said there are no differences with the old server/domain.

I tried setting file permissions to 777, but also this didn’t changed a thing.

I’m out of options for knowing what to do…

    Greets,

    Wouter

    Hi there,

Didn’t get any respons on this issue… I realy want to solve this, because it’s not possible to add images right now. See the attached screens for more info. It seems to me everything is oke with permissions etc. and my hosting company also says there’s nothing wrong from their side…

Could you please tell me if this is fixable? Otherwise I’m thinking about moving the site all over again with a clean install to see if this helps the problem… But that’s a lot of work!

    Hi,

Apologize for the delay, can you explain what exactly you did. Copy and pasted in the file explorer?

You shouldn’t set it as 777 your security is at risk change it to 755 and apply to all subdirectories and files.

    Hi Rui,

Thanks for the respons. I moved the website, like I did with a few more with using your template as stated by WordPress. https://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress.

It always worked… The only difference between the sites is an SSL…

Are you FTP details contained within the wp-config.php file?

    Hi David,

I resolved this issue together with my hostingcompany. It was an the url in Settings -> Media that was causing this problem.

    @sutlucay

What is exactly the issue you have? Have those directories the correct permissions?
