  I use french.
  locotranslate says french language file for woocommerce: 100%, and I find the french texts there in the language file for woocommerce.
  nevertheless “Add to cart” “Checkout” and other texts are in english.
  trying to figure out if there are other plugins involved but doesn’t seem so.

  You need to also translate it in the theme language files.
