  Hi,
  I added the following custom CSS to resize the promo bar and the text:

  #base-promo.footer-promo-arrow a, #base-promo.footer-promo-text a {
  padding: 0px 10% !important;
  }
  #base-promo.footer-promo-arrow > a, #base-promo.footer-promo-text > a {
  font-size: 44px !important;
  }

  None of the changes work when I display the page. However if I make these exact changes in Firebug they do work.

  Any idea why the code isn’t applied?

  Hi,

  guess you css isn’t it in the correct place in the custom css option.
  Because your page should look like the screenshot below when using that css.

  Provide your admin credentials in a private reply so we can check what’s wrong.

  Your comment about my CSS not being in the right place pointed me in the right direction. Once I got back in the custom CSS section I noticed that another CSS statement wasn’t closed with the ‘}’ and so the two statements modifying the promo bar were in fact ignored.
  Sorry that I bothered you with this. It was totally my fault – I hate that 🙁
