    Hello,

    I just updated the theme and after updating I tried to activate my child theme and it is not activating. Please advise as I am unable to work on my site due to this. Thanks!

    Hi,
    I activated the child theme. You just need to install/activate the required plugins here Admin > Appearance > Install plugins.

    It is not showing active on my end. Please look at the attachment.

    Even when I clearly select “activate” on the child theme it still shows that the parent theme is the active one, like in the photo attached.

    Hi,
    Please deactivate all plugins except the swiftframework and try to activate the child theme.

    I’ve also noticed that now my footer widgets are missing. All of this happened upon updating the theme.

    Have you tried to deactivate all plugins to check the Child theme issue?
