  Hi,

  We are having an issue in that when we search for our web page on Google, HTML code is being returned rather than the meta tags or any of the site content (see attached screenshot).

  Any ideas?

  Hi

  That’s the page builder shortcodes, so it is your page content. Have you added a meta description for that page using Yoast SEO?

  We have added meta tags (using a different plug-in) and looking at the code they are being created on the page.

  Have you only recently added the description? Google may not have updated it yet. You can force this if you use webmaster tools https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6065812?hl=en
