When trying to do custom css – I get this error “Redux Framework Warning
ace-editor-js CDN unavailable. Some controls may not render properly. Please wait a few minutes, then try refreshing the page. Unable to load some remotely hosted scripts..”My server seems very slow with wordpress processes – but just wondering what this could be?
Thanks!
June 3, 2016 at 6:23 pm #272385Hi,
It’s working fine for me.

Maybe some network connection issue.

I feel like wordpress operations on my server are very slow. Is there any way to test a ‘wordpress benchmark’ kind of thing to see if my server is slower than should be?

-RuiJune 27, 2016 at 3:45 pm #277447Hey guys – I’m getting this again – but this time I’m getting 3 of them on the ‘custom CSS/JS’ page – and they don’t seem to want to go away. This doesn’t allow me to edit/add to the CSS field.

Any ideas?
Also – regarding WordPress slowness: I tried the ‘pingdom’ site (as well as others suggested by my host) – but that seems to only test front-end page load times. The back-end WordPress processes are what seem painfully slow to me. I suspect my host really sucks in that regard – but can’t figure out how to know for sure. Is there anything that specifically tests back end processes that WordPress uses?
June 27, 2016 at 7:13 pm #277539My host tech support responded this way:
“I had a detail check on the basis of provided URL and could see that the below plugins are causing the issue:
===
swift-framework
redux-framework
===On the panel I could see redux-framework is trying to load external scripts from remote end and may be this causing the slowness of the site. In order to have further check from my end could you please let me know from which server you are trying to load the scripts so that we can check the logs and could take necessary actions to prevent it. Also please try reinstalling the aforementioned plugins or please try alternative plugins for the same.
Please have a check on the below mentioned things and get back to us. We are awaiting for your reply.”
It’s been slow like this with the previous and current version of Swift Framework. Haven’t seen a new version of Redux Framework.
Let me know what to do!
Thanks.
June 27, 2016 at 9:08 pm #277548The Redux framework needs to load some resources(js and css) to load properly.
Tell them to check if this domain is blocked somehow.cdn.jsdelivr.net

June 27, 2016 at 10:38 pm #277563Hmmm – my host says this:
“I have have white-listed reported domain in our server firewall and we could see that the same plugin is causing the same issue.
Please remove the plugin or try reinstalling it.”
When I try to uninstall or reinstall that plugin however – I can’t find any info on it. It leads me to a page with tons of other info – but nothing about installation ๐ Not exactly the most user friendly plugin LoL.
Can you reinstall this plugin for me?
June 28, 2016 at 2:21 pm #277764For anyone else having this problem – how to reinstall this plugin:
At first ‘Delete’ appears only in bulk actions – but you first must deactivate the plugin. Then you can delete it.
Click ‘Add New’ button and search for Redux.
Once installed, activate it.Then try.
June 28, 2016 at 2:22 pm #277765Unfortunately – I get the same exact errors even after reinstalling. ๐
June 28, 2016 at 8:38 pm #277886Further from my host:
“Having checked the server, we could not find any restrictions in the server that is preventing access to the CDN.
Also in order for the remote scripts to work, the ‘use_cdn’ option should be made true for all the respective scripts associated with the plugin. Can you please check with the theme developers to check and make sure if this has been enabled in the required scripts.
If not, please enable it and if there are still issues experienced after this, please let us know.”
Please let me know – this is going on several days of this problem and I can’t update anything on the site without it. ๐
June 29, 2016 at 12:27 pm #278056Redux uses this cdn address to load the resources.
cdn.jsdelivr.net
When I access your site I receive a lot of security warnings from the Norton antivirus.
Guess your hosting server can be in a blacklist or something similar.-Rui
June 30, 2016 at 2:39 am #278253Thanks Rui!
Can you have a look again? My host claims to have deep dived it – and fixed everything – including finally ‘actually’ whitelisting the cdn server.
So result is that the errors no longer appear – however I still can’t edit the Custom CSS/JS fields. ๐
Could be because I installed Redux fresh and it’s different than the one in the theme install?
