I am having a difficult time getting an mp4 file to play in the background of a slide on the home page when viewed with IE 11.

I have looked at the Cardinal Corporate Demo #3 with IE 11 and your video plays correctly.

I have even located your demo (video) file and uploaded it our cloud storage site on Amazon, then linked to it but nothing.

Initially, I thought it was because my mp4 had the wrong codec. But we used H.264/AVC like you.

Thankfully there are no issues with the webm file.

    What am I am missing?Help

Digging deeper, when I place the required video file web-intro5.mp4 on our server and link to it:

http://whiteheadinc.com/web-intro5.mp4 it NOW plays on all browsers.

When I link to the same file on Amazon

    [video src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/whitehead-agency/web-intro5.mp4" /]

IE 11 will NOT play it.

Your video file corp_demo_home.mp4 plays fine for us on IE 11 and you also have that file on the Amazon file server.

What are we missing? Is it the hyphen in the file name? Something else?

    Solved!

I had to manually change the content-type to video/mp4 and NOT application/octet-stream.

Here is reference and the steps:
