I just checked my website and to my horror found that although the menu system is present – my content has vanished. I’ve checked my plugins and all the necessary ones are up to date. This is a ridiculous state of affairs. When I bought this theme – I expected for it to just work. Now I am worried and have lost trust in it. I feel I need to check to see if it’s working on a daily basis. This isn’t good enough. All it takes is for a client to click on my page – see a blank page and never contact me. I lose business.

Looks like the theme is very dated? 2.33…

Please ensure you stay updated, please download 2.4.4 from your ThemeForest account, upload that and ensure all plugins and the WP core is also updated.

    – What version of the Swift Framework plugin are you using?

    Thanks.

I have gone to my ThemeForest account. The only version of the Cardinal theme that I can download is the version I have.

How can this problem be fixed?

    My Swift framework is: (v2.2.0)

    Hi James,

You should definitely have the latest version in your ThemeForest dashboard, else i’d suggest you contact Envato support. Here is how to manually update – http://www.swiftideas.com/knowledgebase/how-to-manually-update-your-theme/

I’ve attempted the manual update – but I get the following message:

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/gh0st_cat/barcelonaphotographer.net/wp-content/themes/cardinal/

    Theme install failed.

What do I need to do to make this work?

    Hi James,

Looks like you tried the auto updated method, in the link Ed sent checkout the section “FTP Method“:

    1) Connect to your host via FTP.
    2) Navigate to /wp-content/themes/
    3) Drag the newly downloaded theme folder to your FTP and override the remote theme folder. You will likely be asked to confirm this override.

    Thanks.

If you’re uploading directly to the WP Dashboard you need to delete the current theme
