  I have the Neighborhood theme installed. It’s a great theme, but I notice a huge decrease in performance on the user and admin sides when it is active. I’ve gone through most of the recommendations in this forum (and other forums) and nothing has really helped so far. I installed the P3 plugin to analyze the plugin performance on my site and it showed that there are 157 MySQL queries requested when loading the home page. When I activate the “Twenty Thirteen” theme, only 47 are requested. I understand that the Neighborhood has a lot more functionality which requires more queries, resources, etc. but is it possible to cut down on or cache these queries to improve performance?

  Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well. The site is http://www.bna78.com.

  Hi,

  I have 200 to over 250 queries per (!) pageload. My server wait time is a lot of times over 5 seconds. Unacceptable for any ecommerce site.

  Hi, the site loads within 7 seconds for me, mainly because of these errors:

  GET http://bna78.com/wp-content/themes/neighborhood/includes/plugins/love-it-pro/includes/js/jquery.cookie.js 406 (Not Acceptable) (index):132
  GET http://bna78.com/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/assets/js/jquery-cookie/jquery.cookie.min.js?ver=1.3.1 406 (Not Acceptable)

  Both errors come from plugins (woocommerce and love it pro)
  Deactivate them and let me know if the speed is increasing.

  Thanks for the response. I’m happy to tell you that I switched hosts (from MediaTemple to InMotion) and the site performance is MUCH better! I don’t know if InMotion is that much better or if the servers are just better configured for this theme. Either way, I’m happy with the theme now.
