Hi,
I’m having trouble with Ajax Blog page loading, specifically when trying to reduce load time on my homepage (which is the blog page).
I changed the setting to Ajax to reduce load time, but my question is about “number of items”
To show all of the blog posts, I have to choose something like 100.
To reduce load time, I decided to change this number to 6, hoping that the Ajax load more options would load 6 more items if clicked.
Question 1. IS THIS CORRECT, or should i leave the value at 100? (leaving it at 100 slows down the hompage load time which is 17 secs)What I’m also seeing is that choosing Ajax is bugged. It reloads the entire page, jumps to the top of the page, and then loads a continuous cycle of only a select few posts.
Question 2. IS THIS A GLITCH? I noticed this other forum post and thought it could be a similar problem: http://www.swiftideas.com/forums/topic/ajax-load-more/Question3. How can I use the load more Ajax option to reduce homepage load time but insure that all the blog posts can be loaded and not a cycle of just a select few posts?
Thanks in advance,
Daniela
March 15, 2016 at 8:55 pm #255662I’d like to add another note.
This error occurred when I had two blog elements on the home page.
They were both masonry, the first displayed just 8 posts, then I have a shopping widget as a divider , and the second was offset by 8 posts. the second blog section had the ajax option and would glitch. I was hoping to be able to have this format to diversify the layout of my homepage, but it doesn’t work.March 16, 2016 at 8:14 pm #255910Please confirm what version of Atelier you are using? 1.9.6?
Please also confirm the Swift Framework plugin version? 2.0.3?
Thanks.
March 16, 2016 at 9:46 pm #255927I am using the most up-to date versions of all the plugins and theme.
March 18, 2016 at 11:39 am #256291Can you add a WP login for us, maybe you can duplicate this to create us a test page away from the live site?
– Have you tested this with all plugins disabled so only Swift Framework and Woo are active?
Thanks.

Thanks.
March 21, 2016 at 11:42 pm #256947Hi David, I’m a little confused about the response above, and the quality of support in general.
Please clarify, because I might be confused: Are you asking me to deactivate my website by turning off all the plugins so you can test a glitch in the theme? I provided the login already above and it took 3 days to get a response from this forum. I don’t see how it’s appropriate to ask me to deactivate my website for an unknown period of time (likely 48 hours) to troubleshoot a problem which I brought to your attention.
In addition, the glitch made my homepage malfunction, so I decided against using that design. However, if the glitch is fixed I would like to add the old layout of the blog back.
Do you need the glitched setup of the blog to be in my homepage design to test it? Because it’s not still there. I am designing a blog that I can’t just leave for my readers to see broken for days on end, which is why I took it out.
IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO TEST? I PROVIDED MY LOGIN INFO for you to be able to test it, but it’s also unclear if you have found a potential solution yet.
Please respond ASAP as it’s already been a week and the problem is still unresolved. Thank you.
March 23, 2016 at 12:14 pm #257333Hi,
I wanted you to deactivate the plugins to confirm a 3rd party plugin was not conflicting with the blog ajax pagination, this is crucial.
1) The issues you mention in your 1st post – indicate a JS error, which is mostly caused by 3rd party plugins or theme modifications.
2) The steps you mention in your 2nd post, are something I have setup on my local version and cannot replicate an issue with. Ex: Two blog assets, both with ajax load more enabled.
3) You mention the term glitch – please elaborate more on that or provide a screenshot? – Do the posts not load, or is there a layout issue with the new loaded posts?
– As you have removed the problematic elements from the page in referenced, please setup a test page where I can see the issues happening, I can understand the problem much better this way also.
Thanks.
