I’d like to be able to make the Team Members ‘featured image’ have a link on it to a page elsewhere on the site. There doesn’t currently seem to be a way to do this with included functionality/attributes.

Can you recommend a way to do this please?

    Hi!

This sure is possible, but I’m afraid it’s not built into the theme and would have to be modified especially for you. We’d love to help you with this customization but we are only able to provide support for basic theme issues and bug fixes. We do provide support for small customizations but unfortunately this request is beyond that. Please see our general policy and guidelines for more info. You could also hire a developer to help you with your customizations.

    Thank you for understanding!
    Cheers!

How good are you with PHP? It can be done, but it’s a non-trivial code change and cannot be done using a Child Theme, so I’d want you to understand the implications before giving you direction on how to accomplish it.

A simple workaround if you don’t want to get your hands dirty is to forget about the Team content type and use the Portfolio instead.

Create your members in the Portfolio content type and set them to “team member” category. In the portfolio settings, you can set the thumbnail to link to an URL of your choice.

Then, to display your team page, chose the portfolio element in swift page builder, and tell it to show only the team-member category. Hide the filter and other unwanted things, and you should be good to go. You will get the nice zoom hover effect, the image will be clickable

Here is an example of this – although i don’t link elsewhere but to my team member page. You will see the layout fits nicely for a team presentation! http://fayde.dev5.webenabled.net/team/
