Hello, I have a question: when i am on a shop page and select a product to view and go back to the shop page, the page shows but start reloading after a split second. Is it possible to not reload the page by the browser?

    Thanks.

Hello, i just keep digging into this issue and seen your answer here on a same question of an other user. I think the page reloading when using the back button in the browser is not a default browser functionality. Most of the theme’s don’t reload the previous page. Reloading is giving a delay and is not a intuitive way of browsing. In combination of the fancy header it’s irritating.

It’s my most important complain about the theme and i can give you tons on examples of themes that navigate back without reload.

Can you help me to disable the reloading? It would be a great advantage.

    Thanks.

    Hi

Do you have page pre loader enabled?

Hello Kyle, thanks for your reply, no i don’t have pre loader enabled because this also gives an delay in navigating back. I want visitors return to the browser cached previous page, because this is the fasted way to navigate.

    Hello Kyle,

reloading when using back button is happening on your demo site too, but you can see it here in my install http://test.hansvanderwoerd.eu Most unwanted delay is happening when go to shop, select a product and navigate back to the shop. Page is reloading, but it happens on every page while navigating back.

    Hi,

The only delay I see is the Rev Slider loading both those two slides. There looks like there is an animation delay on the slides?

    Thanks.

    Hello David,

Thats not what i mean. When you browse from http://www.sailing.hansvanderwoerd.com/shop/ to a product and then use back button the shop page reloads after a short delay. Best visible in Safari. This happens every time you navigate back in the theme: the previous page reloads.

When i browse for example in one of my other websites: http://muziekschoolamstelveen.nl/muziek-orienterend-6-12-jaar/ – click on one of the image boxes below to open a detail page and then navigate back the page does not reload at all.

    You see the difference?

Hello, i keep digging into this thing. What i need is prevent browser reloads page using back button. This is the normal behavior of browser with no server roundtrip. It speeds up navigating through the site.

So there must be something in your code that overrules this.

Hello Kyle, thanks, this happens not in every browser. In Safari Mac and Chrome windows the page reloads.
