    Hey!

    I noticed while viewing the freelance theme demo (http://joyn.swiftideas.com/home/home-freelancer/) that the portfolio items will reveal the hover project title and color overlay when scrolling through on iphone. How can I get this to happen on our homepage?

    I’ve tried to imitate the effect by cross examining the freelance demo on our site but it doesn’t work on our url just on the joyn theme main url…

    Let me know what I need to do to make this happen. Thanks!!
    Tim

    Hi,

    I am testing both on iPhone6 and they both behave identically.

    What device version are you using, can you clear your iPhone Safari cache and re-test?

    Thanks.

    Yep, that did it! Will everyone have to go through the process of clear their safari cache? Or is something that I needed to do because I have been viewing the site while developing it?

    Thanks!

    It’s likely only because you have viewed it a lot whilst creating it.

    Thanks.

    Not working again. I’ve tried clearing cache again on my phone but it didn’t fix it this time.

    Any ideas how to keep the hover working on mobile consistently?

    Hi

    Add this to your custom css:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 479px) {
    .portfolio-item figure.animated-overlay figcaption {
      opacity: 1;
    }
    .portfolio-item figure.animated-overlay figcaption .thumb-info h4, .portfolio-item figure.animated-overlay figcaption .thumb-info h5, .portfolio-item figure.animated-overlay figcaption .thumb-info-alt i {
      opacity: 1;
    }
    }

    Sorry, I meant is there a way to make the touch/hover effect work consistently. There are many other parts of the site that would greatly benefit from it functioning as it does in the theme demo.

    This option could be a last resort though 🙂

    I’m not sure what you mean? Do you want the first touch to be the hover and second touch to be the link?

    Like it works in this page: http://joyn.swiftideas.com/home/home-freelancer/

    If viewed on a touch screen device the hover state shows as the user touches the screen to scroll up. If the user taps first it clicks through and sends them to the link. But they can see all hover effects by touching the screen to scroll through the page.

    Earlier in this thread I was instructed to clear my phone browser cache, and the effect I’m describing worked perfect for a little bit. Just trying to figure out how to make it work again and consistently.

    Thanks!

    Also, I just removed all custom CSS to test and see if somehow my CSS was breaking the functionality. It didn’t fix it so apparently the custom CSS is not the problem.

    Just FYI
    Thanks!

    Just to confirm, this will be available as a theme option in the next update.
