    Hi There,

I’m trying to add the new “Facebook Pixel” (read: not Facebook’s old “conversion pixel”–I already have this successfully installed) globally to my site header, but I’m a little unsure on how to proceed. I tried entering the script through my theme options panel (CSS/JS). The editor asks me to remove the <script> tags, which I did. But now, when I use the Facebook Pixel Helper (Chrome plugin) to confirm that the pixel fired, it tells me that the pixel exists but failed to fire.

The alternative, of course, is to add the code directly to the themes header.php file, but won’t this code be overwritten during the next Atelier update?

    Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi,

I do not see the code in your page? Please add a WP login?

Have you tried this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/facebook-conversion-pixel/.

If you want to add it to the header.php file, you will need to use a child theme, we supply one in the main zip file from ThemeForest. You would need to copy the header.php from the parent theme into the child theme, then add your changes there.

    Thanks.

    Hi David,
I hadn’t thought to try copying header.php into the child theme to make changes. Very cool! I’ll give it a shot and report back.

Sure, that will work and save it from updates.

    Thanks.
