Hi. We’ve activated CloudFlare’s Flexible SSL on our site.

Products will not show in categories under HTTPS (nor in homepage’s widgets). They are there but they won’t display.

If we de-activate the CHILD theme and enable default Atelier the problem disappears. However, we want to keep the child theme active as we have custom functions and templates and are likely to have more in the future.

The child theme’s CSS won’t load under HTTPS for some reason (confirmed this with Firefox’s Console).

Thank you for looking into this.

By the way, mobile css is loading nicely under https.

    Hi

Have you installed the WordPress HTTPS plugin?

I have installed CloudFlare’s official plugin for HTTPS Protocol Rewriting (it’s turned on).

And even though WordPress HTTPS plugin is not currently active on the site, I did install it before I contact you but it didn’t work. It’s weird because it’s just the CHILD theme that’s causing this. And only on desktops.

Marked my reply as private so only we can see it.

    Please navigate to:

    1) Settings => General Settings => WordPress Address (URL)
    2) Settings => General Settings => Site Address (URL)

When you are ready to go live with HTTPS, please update http:// to https://

    Thanks.

Ah remember with WP-Engine, clear the cache they build when making changes. Dashboard => WPEngine => WPEngine => Clear all caches

That has removed the wrong style.css/style.css and you now have: https://friendlystock.com/wp-content/themes/atelier-child/style.css

    Thanks.

    I’m clearing the cache 🙂

The stylesheet loads now but the categories are still empty as well as the homepage’s “LATEST ADDITIONS” (there are products there that don’t display under https).

    Are you seeing something different?

There is a JS error caused by this plugin: WooCommerce Product Search

Can you disable that and test?

    Thanks.

It looks like you were right. The problem was only manifesting under the child theme because the search forms of that plugin weren’t active at the homepage or the category pages for the parent theme (so the parent theme was working).

My apologies for dragging you into this as it clearly has nothing to do with the theme itself or the child theme.
