  I followed recommendation from Swift Ideas support forum to change delay time for homepage revolution slider here https://www.thesoldiersproject.org and now it is even slower- so slow as to look blank in the elements section. It was 9000 and I chafed it to 6000. I do not want to mess with it too much because I don’t want to make a mess.

  Please advise, this cannot look like this tomorrow! I just want to optimize the slider so it doesn’t load so slowly.

  Hi,

  I’d start by removing any plugins you are not using. Each one will be loading it’s own JS files in, slowing down the actual load time of the main slider plugin.

  I’d also look to test and then update the plugin: https://www.thesoldiersproject.org/wp-admin/themes.php?page=tgmpa-install-plugins&plugin_status=update. Do you have a dev site setup? If not ask your host about this, you can then test changes away from a live site.
