  Hi Team,

  I have a problem with some translation words which still in english.
  – view card
  – update cart
  – share
  – coupon code
  – cart totals
  – change details
  – My adresses, billing address, shipping address
  – Add a review, title, your review, your rating, add your review
  Please find attached some screenshots.
  I created a file named woocommerce in wp-content>languages and added in this file woocommerce-fr_FR
  Could you help me please

  Hi Olivia,

  Have you set the site language to French? Dashboard => Settings => General => Site Language.

  Please add a WP login for me and your FTP details.

  Hi,

  Just checked and those translations are in the fr_FR.po file.

  They are marked as fuzzy translations, are you using any program to handle the translations? Such as POEdit?

  Edit:

  Some of the strings are fuzzy matches.

  It means that PoEdit proposed a translation for a string it thinks it recognizes, or sometimes it is just because a string was slightly modified. Correct the invalid orange translations or approve them by clicking on the cloud button.

  Click on the “Save” button or “File > Save” and upload your .po file again.

  I understand I have to correct all words in orange (incorrect translation) in fr_FR.po ?
  So, I need to download this file from FTP, correct those translations, save and update again in atelier>translation ?

  Hi,

  Yes exactly that:

  To amend the translations:

  1) Download POEdit https://poedit.net/
  2) Download your language file from your ftp atelier/languages/fr_FR.po
  3) Search through your strings and amend the translations. Save as your.
  4) When finished, click File => Compile to MO.
  5) Upload your new language files BOTH fr_FR.po and fr_FR.po to the folder atelier/languages/

  Hi David,

  It is done but without success and unfortunately the translation still doesn’t work… (It is not the first time that I have this problem, I already lost all my first translation).
  I tried to amend several times but nothing works correctly. The translation disappears literally and it comes back to the original file.
  Should I move the file in an other? Delete all other language files ?

  Could you help me to fix this issue ?

  In the list above I missed a step I should have mentioned.

  Fuzzy Translations: In POEdit fuzzy translations are marked as yellow. You needed to select those and then remove the fuzzy status. Select the translation then Edit => Translation is fuzzy, remove the tick. Then File => Compile to Mo. Then upload the files.
