HI Support,
I need some assistance to setup the proper code for SHIPPING FEES in the WooCommerce Settings/Shipping/Shipping options/Flat rate/International flat rate.
Under questionmark (?) at: COST – the Woo_developers have added a note: “Enter a cost exclusive tax or sum e.g. 10.00 [qty]. Supports the following placeholders: [qty] = number of items, [cost] = cost of items [fee percent = 10.00 min_fee = “20.00” = Percentage based fee”.
To me it looks like a lot of rubbish and I simply can´t figure out what they want me to do?
In one of SwiftIdeas other themes the “Cardinal-theme” the same WooCommerce settings are part of the shopping facilities. In these WooCommerce settings: Shipping/Shipping Options/Flat rate….under COST you see “Additional Rates”_see jpg.attachment. In this field users enter the code for the additional rates, which may look like:
Denmark 0-1 kg (1-3 days)|60.00|yes
Sweden 0-1 kg (2-3 days)|92.00|yes
Norway 0-1 kg (2-3 days)|105.50|yes
Finland 0-1 kg (3-4 days)|96.50|yes
Iceland 0-1 kg (3-4 days)|153.50|yes
EU Countries 0-1 kg (3-5 days)|212.00|yes
Europe 0-1 kg (3-5 days)|216.50|yes
USA, Canada 0-1 kg (4-6 days)|257.50|yes
International 0-1 kg (6-9 days)|269.00|yes
etc. etc..
In the Cardinal theme, all flat rate fees are published in the cart area either by a drop menu or bullet menu. This setup makes the buyer enter different shipping fees according to the order destination.…etc. etc…but the field “ADDITIONAL RATES” isn´t in the Atelier theme? Is it missing or must the theme user place the “additional rates-code” somewhere else? If so…where to place the code, and how does the proper code look like?
I´ve tried different solutions, but nothing seems to work. Can some of your WooCommerce specialists assist me to solve this problem? Thanks a lot for your effords!….Best regards_eccessoAttachments:

Can you check if it appears in the Twenty 15 theme?
That kind of request should be submitted to Woocommerce Support, hope you understand.-Rui
November 12, 2015 at 2:11 pm #228209Hi, I´m not sure what the Twenty 15 theme is? One of SwiftIdeas´s? And why do you refer to this theme, when I´m using ATelier?
Regarding my request to your support of setting up one of the most crucial WooCommerce features, I find it quite natural to submit my request to SwiftIdeas, simply because the WooCommerce shopping facilities is part of/integrated in all of your themes!
I know that the WooCommerce plugin is a “third part” piece of software developed by WooCommerce, but this shouldn´t keep you unaware of your responsibility to the huge number of clients – who purchase the themes SwiftIdeas develop and where the WooCommerce is integrated in all of them.
I´m surprised you can´t do better then addressing me to WooCommerce Support._eccesso
November 12, 2015 at 2:19 pm #228220Twenty 15 is the default theme that comes with WordPress installation. You should activate it to check if the Shipping options appear there, if not something is wrong in your settings.
We go too many times beyond our support scope has you should already know, but we can’t be responsible for settings that are managed in the Woocommerce plugin that the theme doesn’t interfere. We simply don’t have enough time to do that, we are focused on the themes issues.

November 12, 2015 at 2:24 pm #228221I´ve got your pov and try to find the proper support at plugin developers.
Sorry for the inconvenience my ticket may have caused._eccesso
November 12, 2015 at 3:26 pm #228248No problem. Just that they are in better position to answer this situation.

November 12, 2015 at 3:55 pm #228270Sure, I get your point!…but…..this problem can´t be new to SwiftIdeas supportteam, which could – in some extend – prepare your supporters in catching up with the knowledge to solve this particular request – regarding the WooCommerce shipping features. It actually already is a welknown problem, and with my knowledge to the usual excellent support SwiftIdeas provides, your replies are a bit disappointing from my point of view – as a regular client at SwiftIdeas.
Well…I don´t think we´ll get any further…so…I´ll try to manage with the support the plugin developers hopefully may provide to make the WooCommerce shipping features work?_eccesso
November 12, 2015 at 4:51 pm #228303Hi @eccesso
Unfortunately we can’t take on plugin issues that we are unaware of the fix for. I promise it’s much more efficient for us to direct you to them to get the resolution, else it would likely take much longer for a resolution.
The reason we suggest to test with the Twenty 15 theme is this is an easy way to determine the likeliness of the theme being the issue.

November 12, 2015 at 5:23 pm #228317Hi Ed,
I was prepared for you to enter this ticket. Fine you´re on! Hello to you!
I will try to test the WooCommerce plugin setup up against the Twenty Fifteen theme. Sure – no problems with that. But if this wont solve it, I´m back again to the “how-to-do-the-setup-with-shipping-feature?”. Which means…the issue is not a theme issue – but rather the plugin. And due to the comprehensive supportforum WooCommerce already has regarding this specific problem, the knowledge “how-to-solve-the-already-welknown-problem” – maybe also – be part of SwiftIdeas´ excellent support. The advantage of this problem solving, could only provide even more excellent support service at SwiftIdeas – than it already is!…Get my point?
My ticket is not aimed to intimidate your supporters…those days are over from my part….remember?
If your support team could provide the solving guidelines for this specific issue, your clients – inclusive me – only will become more happy then they probably already are! Don´t forget…SwiftIdeas are among the outmost popular theme developers on site at Envato Marketplace! This position also intends – according to my opinion – a huge responsibility for the excellent products SwiftIdeas provide to their customers. And…..read carefully….I´m not saying your not responsible.
Well Ed…we shouldn´t discuss this any further…I´ll try to figure it out…thank for your reply…BR/_@eccessoNovember 13, 2015 at 1:14 pm #228569Hey,
Thanks for the feedback and your comments.
If you can contact the plugin developer regarding this, then feedback to us their comments we will see what we can do.
Thanks,
DavidNovember 13, 2015 at 1:34 pm #228582HI David!
Sure, no problems with that. Unfortunately I haven´t come that far, with my intentions of contacting the developer of the plugin yet, but I´ll hold the ticket open so far!
BR/@eccessoNovember 13, 2015 at 1:38 pm #228584Ok no problem
