  Hi,
  My images stay small in mobile view. I would like them full width, but thats not working in my child theme.
  And by the way wwich cache plugin do you prefer. W3total? Cause that’s not doing much zipping on this theme.

  Hi,

  Having them in the custom css option is also update proof and it’s the recommended way.
  You can also paste it in the style.css if that’s what you desire.

  Well, as I said, that doesn’t work in the child.css

  Also, the site is quite slow and has a huge load time. I smushed my images and even with total cache plugin there is not a real improvement. Which plugin do you prefer for theme optimisation and browser caching. Is it an option or possible to remove things out of the load, like maps script?

  Hi Brian,

  i have the same problem. I use W3 Total Cache and its okey but not so good…I think you have to make changes in code. Its ugly but the problem of such a big and nice function template.

  Yes i use only child themes. Its very difficult to use hacks in child functions.php to enqueque scripts…It takes up to 10 hours to fix it and no 100% update compatibility

  Check in your Font Options and remove the fontdeck js code if you have it.
  that should also speed up.

  Is twice as high leaving a big white space, can you resolve?

  By the way the theme itself speeded up a lot after the latest update?!

  Can you provide a screenshot for the issue with the white space or send the url of that page?
  You talked about child.css but the correct file is style.css
