  Hi, Can you please advise where in the code i can amend the dimensions of the portfolio thumbnail images. Issue i have is that the original images being uploaded to WP are 800×600 and portrait. The portfolio thumbs come out landscape.. The result is that in the thumbs i am loosing the top and bottom of the image which i need to rectify. Please see attached. Thanks

  Instead of editing theme files and losing your edits when updating the theme, try using this plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/post-thumbnail-editor/

  What you are saying requires theme edits that you will need to do every time after you update the theme.

  I recommended that plugin because it can generate thumbnails out of the original image.

  If you still want to change theme code, the thumbnail sizes are in functions.php – look for add_image_size
